Chicago Band "Bondo" a Leading Contender in beer.com's Global Battle of the Bands Contest!

By voting, music lovers have a chance to see the winning band play

at one of three tour stops

CHICAGO, April 19 /CNW-PRN/ - With only 12 days left, local Chicago band Bondo has drummed up huge support from online fans worldwide and jumped to 14th place in the 25-band elimination round of beer.com's Battle of the Bands contest. A Chicago bar band, Bondo originated in Roscoe Village on the North side of Chicago as a group of regular guys who met once in a while to socialize and play music.

Earlier in the year, beer.com's Battle of the Bands contest invited unsigned bands to submit their best song for a chance to win a three-city global tour and attracted almost 500 entries from across North America. Since voting began on February 1, thousands of music lovers have cast their ballot. Those who nominated the final winner will automatically be entered into a contest to watch the victor play at one of the tour stops.

New standings will be available on www.beer.com on Monday, April 24, 2000, and the contest closes on April 30.
